Hundreds of cyclists took to Dublin's Quays yesterday calling for the 'Liffey Cycle Route' to be built, after several years of waiting.
Organiser Kieran Ryan of the Dublin Cycling Campaign told Richard Chambers what they were looking for and why the Quays are so treacherous.
Green Party Councillor, Ciaran Cuffe also wants the cycle route up and running as soon as possible.
Some object to one of the proposals, citing increased traffic through Stoneybatter and Smithfield as their main objections.
The project has been delayed numerous times and is due to come before the Council at the end of the month.
