The Justice Minister says he wasn't surprised by the retirement of Garda Commissioner Noirin O'Sullivan.
The first female leader of the Gardaí retired yesterday saying the job had become more about reporting to other people than carrying out the needed reforms.
Justice Minister Charlie Flanagan told Newstalk Breakfast that the process to replace her may take months.
