The Dublin Central TD was reacting to comments her party president Gerry Adams that jailing those responsible for the murder of Tom Oliver would be counter-productive
The farmer was abducted from his home in Riverstown in 1991 before being killed by the IRA. Mr Adams made his comments on LMFM last week.
Today his deputy leader Mary Lou McDonald said that the murder was worthy of investigation, and that it is the responsibility of the Gardaí to do so.
