We sent a sprinkling of team Off The Ball members down to the heart of Co Westmeath for the Kilbeggan Races on Friday, August 24th.

So Ger Gilroy, John Duggan and co mucked in and headed out to a "whirldwind in Westmeath" to use John's parlance to not only take in the racing action, but also meet some of the people who make it all happen behind the scenes.

From jockeys like Patrick Mullins to race-horse trainers and owners like Danny Cummins of the Red Or Black syndicate, they gave Ger and John a real insight into what goes on at a Kilbeggan race meeting.
