It's impossible to know how many people are squatting in Ireland at present.

Some estimate it to be somewhere between 40 and 70 people are living illegally in properties they do not own, or pay rent on.

Newstalk's Richard Chambers met a number of people who are currently squatting in various locations in Dublin.

One group found two homes vacant beside each other, knocked the walls separating the houses and been there for a couple of years.
