Former Dublin hurler Dotsy O'Callaghan joined Shane Stapleton and Michael Verney on The Hurling Show ahead of the All-Ireland final this weekend.
The clash of Limerick and defending champions Galway has been much anticipated around the country with both sides playing an attacking brand of hurling all summer.
The Tribesmen enter the contest as seasoned regulars at this level while Limerick haven't made the All-Ireland final in over a decade.
And O'Callaghan thinks Galway's recent experience may be the factor which gets them over the line.
"All the evidence is there that they (Limerick) will go out and perform," he told Shane. "They won the Munster league - they were quite consistent. I remember looking at the results back in December and January and then seeing them against Dublin in the league and they seemed to be playing with a great confidence.
"Even the lads, when you hear the interviews after the games - there seems to be a maturity there. They seem very focused as well so I've just been impressed with them all around.
"Obviously Paul Kinnerk is there as well and he's made a huge impact on teams over the years as well with his coaching styles.
"So I do expect them to perform but I do think Galway - a lot of the Galway guys have massive experience in All-Ireland finals. It has to stand to you a little bit.
"Limerick - they don't have that. I wouldn't expect them to be overawed in any way but I think Galway may be able to come into this a bit easier and a bit looser - maybe it might be a bit easier for them to express their full range of hurling early on," he added.
