Pádraic Joyce, Dick Clerkin and Liam Kearns were the guests for the Saturday Panel ahead of this weekend's football semi-finals.
The Dubs have dominated the football landscape in recent years and have seen off the threat from a talented Mayo side despite being pushed to the brink on a couple of occasions.
Clerkin was quick to pay tribute to Dublin boss Jim Gavin for the way he has kept evolving his side on the way to winning three All-Ireland titles in a row.
"I just think, and I've said this a couple of times over the last few years, you can't give Jim Gavin enough credit," he told Nathan.
"To try and get any group of players to sustain a top level of performance - it's so difficult. There's so many variables, there's so many reasons why a players' performance can dip and collectively you can dip and it just doesn't happen.
"To be performing at that level is just a phenomenal achievement from a management point of view and they're going out again - look at Paul Flynn - he's 33/34 and all the medals he has and he's coming out trying to get back in [to the side]."
