Health Minister Stephen Donnelly has said the Government will not be moving to a mask mandate based on the current public health advice.
However he said the issue will be kept under review "on a daily and on a weekly basis."
Minister Donnelly said people should follow basic hygiene rules like hand-washing, and should wear masks in healthcare settings, crowded places and on public transport.

This followed a call from the INMO, which has seen a record high number of people waiting on trolleys across the country.
